We had an absolute blast at the first-ever live event hosted by the Great Pop Culture Debate podcast: GPCD Live: Best Pop Music Diva! The event took place on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at The Alley in Boston, MA, and it was a fun-filled afternoon with plenty of lively debates and enthusiastic audience participation.
Highlights from the Event
The main attraction was the debate to determine the Best Pop Music Diva, and boy, did the audience bring their A-game! Here’s how it all went down:
Getting Ready with the Playlist: Before the event, attendees were invited to check out the Best Pop Diva Playlist. This playlist featured four iconic songs from each of our Top 32 divas. It was the perfect way to get in the zone and decide who they were rooting for.
Filling Out the Bracket: We also encouraged everyone to print and fill out the Best Pop Diva Bracket before the event. This allowed folks to come prepared and ready to argue passionately for their favorites.
Live Audience Voting: The best part? The audience had the final say! Throughout the event, attendees voted live on each match-up and made brief, spirited arguments to support their choices. It was interactive, engaging, and a whole lot of fun!
